Next time you log into the People First system, you will be prompted to complete an address verification process activated on the insurance home page. In order to ensure you receive a 2013 Plan Year Open Enrollment Benefits Statement, you must complete the process no later than September 20.
Affordable health insurance for children available for state employees who qualify
State employees with a family income less than 200 percent of the federal poverty level, but above the amount that qualifies for Medicaid, can now qualify for health insurance for their children for less than $20 per month through KidCare. The Florida Legislature recently passed this legislation, and the law went into effective July 1.
Do you use the myUFL system to approve other employees’ time reporting?
An upgrade of the myUFL human resources and payroll systems is scheduled to occur on September 18. Employees who currently maintain a security role that enables them to approve time for other employees are required to request new roles and complete associated training in order to maintain access to this function in the upgraded system.

Tuition Exchange Scholarship Program offers possibility of more affordable higher education
The Tuition Exchange Scholarship Program (TEP) provides the opportunity for dependent children of the University of Florida’s full-time employees (excluding OPS employees) to attend a participating Tuition Exchange college or university at a significant tuition reduction rate.
Employee Education Program accepting applications for the fall semester
The Employee Education Program (EEP) is a popular benefit available to eligible UF faculty and staff. The program provides tuition assistance for up to six credit hours of eligible college-level courses per semester.
Applications for the 2012-13 GBAS Mentoring Program due September 14
Gator Business Administrator Services, or GBAS—a professional development program that targets business administrators on campus— is accepting applications now through September 14 for the 2012-13 mentoring program. Participants are selected via a competitive application process, and the program begins in November 2012.
