A Gator Nation welcome for new faculty

By on September 2, 2014

More than 100 new UF faculty gathered at Emerson Alumni Hall on Aug. 18 and 19 for the 2014 New Faculty Orientation. Provost Joseph Glover kicked off the event, which featured a range of UF administrators covering such topics as teaching excellence, opportunities and resources, research and grants, information technology, benefits and retirement, and more. A reception at the Keene Faculty Center gave the new faculty a unique opportunity to mingle with their new colleagues.

More than 40 of this year’s new faculty represent those hired as part of the university’s preeminence initiative. To learn more about some of UF’s newest additions, visit the UF Rising website.

Presentations from this year’s event are now available on the New Faculty Orientation section of Human Resource Services’ website. If you have questions or would like more information about this annual event, please contact Lizette Classen at (352) 392-1075.
