Faculty and staff honored at 2015 Superior Accomplishment Awards ceremony

Nearly 300 employees gathered at the J. Wayne Reitz Union’s Grand Ballroom on April 16 for the 2015 Superior Accomplishment Awards ceremony. This annual program recognizes staff and faculty members who contribute outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life for students and employees.

The six university category winners—along with the university winners from the Community Service and Diversity & Inclusion awards—each received $2,000, a commemorative trophy and tickets for themselves and a guest to enjoy a 2015 home football game in the President’s Box as guests of Dr. Fuchs.

The following individuals received awards at the university-level, the Superior Accomplishment Awards’ highest honors:

  • Clerical/Office Support – Malissa Redden, Program Assistant, IFAS – College of Agricultural and Life Sciences – Academic Programs
  • Support Services – Rodney Holsey, Senior Custodial Worker, Housing and Residence Education
  • Scientific/Technical – Dina Michaels, Senior Biological Scientist, College of Veterinary Medicine – Department of Infectious Diseases and Pathology
  • Administrative/Supervisory – Alexandra Mills, Senior Information Specialist, Health Science Center News/Communications
  • Administrative/Professional – Brian Karcinski, Assistant Director 3, College of Pharmacy Entrepreneurial Programs and IT
  • Academic Personnel – Jamie Jasser, Counselor, Counseling and Wellness Center
  • Community Service – Donna Proveau, Accountant, J. Wayne Reitz Union
  • Diversity & Inclusion – Chun-Chung Choi, Program Director/Clinical Associate Professor, Counseling and Wellness Center

Four individuals received the Jeffrey A. Gabor Employee Recognition Award, sponsored by the Gabor Agency. These employees were each presented with a $1,000 check and a commemorative award. The recipients were:

  • Gann Enholm, Academic Support Services Coordinator, Graduate School
  • Patrice Lecomte, Associate Controller, Business Affairs
  • Rob Luetjen, Purchasing Coordinator, Purchasing Services
  • Kristy Radeker, Senior Grants Specialist, College of Medicine – Emergency Medicine

Recipients of the Standard Insurance Employee Recognition Awards were presented with a $1,000 check and a commemorative award. Recipients were:

  • Richard Kapper, Maintenance Mechanic, Business Services – Transportation and Parking
  • John Mocko, Senior Laboratory Teaching Specialist, Department of Physics
  • Kimberly Niblett, Senior Biological Scientist, IFAS – Horticultural Sciences
  • Shannon Noble, Education/Training Programs Coordinator, IFAS – Agricultural/Biological Engineering
