At his Sept. 24 State of the University Address to the Faculty Senate, President Kent Fuchs announced that UF faculty and staff will be invited to participate in a university-wide climate survey in late October.
Beginning this month, supervisors and HR representatives throughout the university are being asked to review the new TEAMS job titles created as part of the UF On Target Classification Project and to recommend titles for TEAMS employees in their area. A new UF On Target job classification file intended to provide functionality similar to the raise review process is now available to employees with UF_EPAF_Department Admin and UF_EPAF_Level 1 Approver security roles.
This year’s Open Enrollment period begins Oct. 19 at 8 a.m. and ends Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. EST. Please note that the UF Benefits office will be closed on Nov. 6 for the Homecoming holiday. In July, the state of Florida’s Division of Retirement requested that each State University System Optional Retirement Plan (SUSORP) vendor implement a plan servicing fee, determined annually. In a Sept. 8 UF Administrative Memo, UF Vice President Paula Varnes Fussell outlined the implementation plan for merit salary and minimum wage increases effective in 2016. Salary increases for employees in a bargaining unit are subject to union negotiation, and the university continues to work with the unions to reach agreement for covered employees.
