UF supervisors and HR representatives have until Nov. 13 to complete their review of the new TEAMS job titles created as part of the UF On Target Classification Project and to recommend titles for TEAMS employees in their area. To support the implementation of the new job titles, a TEAMS Titles website was launched last month that includes proposed titles as well as job families, series, and detailed descriptions and specifications.
TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave—regardless of FTE—during the pay period of Nov. 6 to 17, provided 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of that pay period. If eligible, you will receive the cash-out payment in your Nov. 25 paycheck.
This year’s Open Enrollment period ends Nov. 6 at 6 p.m. Eastern time. Please note that Nov. 6 is the UF Homecoming holiday and the Benefits office will be closed, so any transactions must be completed online. Employees are encouraged to submit their enrollment selections prior to Nov. 6 if possible, in case assistance is needed from the UF Benefits staff.
The Raise Review File for 2016 merit salary and minimum wage increases effective in 2016 will be released to campus on Monday, Nov. 30. Supervisors are encouraged to begin considering how they will distribute the increases prior to the release
Effective Jan. 1, 2016, the University of Florida will no longer allow credit union deductions from employees’ paychecks. Due to technological advances, such deductions are no longer necessary. Please note that this change does not impact the direct deposit of paychecks.

The American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout will take place on Thursday, Nov. 19, with organizations throughout campus sponsoring local events to commemorate the day and to encourage smokers to quit. Events will be held between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. at the Plaza of the Americas and the Harrell Medical Education Building.
