Board of Trustees votes to implement merit increase for in-unit faculty

On Jan. 28, the University Board of Trustees held a special session to resolve the impasse between the University of Florida and the United Faculty of Florida (UFF). Following presentations by the university and UFF, the trustees voted to implement a 2.5 percent merit increase effective Jan. 1, 2016, for in-unit faculty.

An automated process has been developed that will enable colleges and units to enter the merit increases into a raise review file. The raise review file will be made available to departments beginning Feb. 8, and an instruction guide on how to review the Raise Review File may be found on the Job and Position Actions myUFL Toolkit. Faculty who are awarded merit increases will see the increases in their March 18 paychecks.
