UF Faculty and Staff Climate Survey results coming this June

In June, the University of Florida will receive a report outlining high-level summaries of the findings from the UF Faculty and Staff Climate Survey conducted last fall by the independent consulting firm of Rankin & Associates. The report will be provided on the Climate Survey section of the Office of the President’s website.


Apply for 2016-17 UF Leadership Development programs by April 30

A call for applications for the 2016-17 UF Leadership Development programs sponsored by UF Training and Organizational Development and the Office of Human Resource Services is now underway, with an application deadline of April 30.


New TEAMS titles resulting from UF On Target initiative to take effect April 22

In March, the UF On Target project team completed its review of position information submitted to the UF On Target file last December. As of March 31, more than 5,000 positions have been approved for implementation in myUFL.

In-unit faculty raises implemented

On March 18, the University of Florida Board of Trustees (UBOT), following ratification of the collective bargaining agreement by the union membership, approved the agreement between UF and the United Faculty of Florida (UFF). This action cleared the way for the implementation of in-unit salary increases.


Sick leave cashout program to discontinue after June 2016

Beginning July 1, no payments for sick leave will be made for any type of separation from employment for TEAMS, USPS and faculty who are not part of the collective bargaining unit.


Flex spending 2015 claim submissions due April 14

Did you have a 2015 medical reimbursement and/or daycare reimbursement account? The IRS “use-it-or-lose-it” rule will apply to unused money remaining in your 2015 flexible spending account (FSA), so be sure to submit claims for 2015 expenses before the final filing date of April 14.


Is your address information up-to-date in the myUFL system?

Making a transition this summer? Employees should ensure their Local Home Data and Permanent Home Data addresses are updated in myUFL system by logging in and navigating to Self Service > My Account > Update My Directory Profile.


Lapse in summer deductions for 9- and 10-month employees does not affect coverage

Employees on 9- and 10-month appointments will not have deductions taken over the summer months for UFSelect, GatorCare and/or state plans if enrolled.
