Office of Research announces launch of Research Training Utility

Based on feedback received from researchers, the Office of Research has developed a tool enabling users to identify the mandatory training needed to conduct research at UF. The tool generates a list of mandatory trainings that need to be completed, in response to a brief series of questions designed to identify your research activities.


Employee Education Program accepting applications for summer semesters

The Employee Education Program (EEP) is a valuable benefit available to eligible UF faculty and staff. The program provides tuition assistance for up to six credit hours of eligible college-level courses per semester. In the summer, a combined total of six credits taken during semesters A, B, and C may be covered by the EEP.


Are you retiring soon?

Employee retirement actions entered in the myUFL system are reported to the State of Florida and PeopleFirst, and retirees are automatically enrolled in state retiree health coverage. This is a one-time acceptance opportunity; retiree health insurance premiums must be accepted and paid by the due date or retiree coverage is forfeited permanently.


Sick leave cashout program to discontinue after June 2016

Beginning July 1, 2016, payments for sick leave will no longer be made for any type of separation from employment for TEAMS, USPS and faculty who are not part of the collective bargaining unit.


Is your physician part of your insurance provider's network?

Prior to receiving medical care, employees are encouraged to contact their health insurance provider (Florida Blue, AvMed, etc.) to ensure that the facility or physician is part of the network. Changes to provider networks occur frequently without prior notice. Services provided at non-network providers may result in higher out-of-pockets costs to participants or denial of medical claims.

Graham Center initiative aims to improve Florida’s middle school civics education
