gbas presents springOn June 16, the Gator Business Administrator Services (GBAS) program hosted Elias Eldayrie, vice president and chief information officer, who shared his perspectives on the power of influence in leadership, including how leadership is about people.

Eldayrie advised the audience that, in paving their paths, leaders must have a goal they are passionate about and choose small steps that make it easy for others to follow. He also emphasized the importance of persistence and addressed the need for self-awareness and the importance of building trust.

“This was one of the best presentations I have attended and I plan to use the ideas right away,” said JoAnn Davis, director of IFAS Shared Services. “It was inspirational!”

GBAS provides professional development for business administrators throughout campus and will have additional events coming this fall. For more information about GBAS, visit http://cfo.ufl.edu/administrative-units/gbas/.
