UF Planning, Design & Construction hosts “cornhole” tournament and lunch for the UF Campaign for Charities Oct. 13

cornholeFor the fifth consecutive year, UF Planning, Design & Construction (PD&C) will host a “cornhole” tournament to raise money for the UF Campaign for Charities (UFCC). The event will be held the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 13, as part of Homecoming Week. Prizes will be awarded to for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers, and competition is expected to be fierce once again. In the past two years, the tournament featured between 80 and 90 players, raising $5,400 in 2014 and nearly $8,500 in 2015.

The scornhole-collage-2015ingle-elimination tournament will be held near Gate 4 in the outer concourse of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium (under cover), with parking restrictions lifted that afternoon at the O’Connell Center. There is no need to register in advance – just show up by 2:00 PM on Oct. 13, make a donation to UFCC, and play! A barbecue lunch will be provided from 1 to 3 p.m.

The event is open to UF faculty/staff/students and the general public.
