December Leave Cash-out period is Nov. 4–15

dec-cash-outTEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave — regardless of FTE — during the pay period of Nov. 4 to 17, provided 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of that pay period. Eligible participants will receive the cash-out payment in their Nov. 23 paycheck.

To participate, report the number of hours you wish to cash out by entering them in the Elapsed Timesheet in the myUFL system. You must report the hours between Nov. 4 and Nov. 15 using the “DLC – 280 December Vacation Leave” time reporting code on a day when you are not scheduled to work, to prevent the “exceeds 24 hours” exception.

Please note: The pay period specified is the only pay period when the DLC time reporting code can be entered. The code is “locked” until Nov. 4, so you must enter DLC hours between Nov. 4 and Nov. 15 if you plan to take advantage of this benefit. After 11:59 p.m. on Nov. 15, the code will again be “locked,” and you will no longer be able to enter the code.

Employees should enter the time reporting code in Elapsed Timesheet by Nov. 15; however, please verify with your department if an earlier deadline has been established internally.

Each department is responsible for ensuring no more than 16 hours of an employee’s vacation leave are cashed out and that 40 hours of vacation leave remain on balance after the end of the Nov. 4–17 pay period.
