UF Physical Plant rebranded as UF Facilities Services

The high standard of progress all Gators across campus measure themselves by is built in part on the foundation of our historic and modern facilities, dependable utilities and the University of Florida’s robust and reliable infrastructure. Beginning this month, the UF Physical Plant will be renamed Facilities Services, as a reminder of this ongoing pursuit of excellence, and the university’s responsibilities to maintaining preeminent facilities for a preeminent university.

Facilities Services employs more than 900 staff responsible for maintaining E&G and Health Center space at UF. Services include building maintenance; preventative maintenance; heating and air conditioning repairs; landscaping and grounds maintenance; refuse collection and recycling; housekeeping services; road maintenance; campus-wide utility distribution and more.

The Facilities Services brand is based on integrity, professionalism and dependability. By making this change and being visible to the UF community, UF demonstrates the importance of the commitment Facilities Services makes with every step taken across campus: as a vital contributor to individual efforts, as well as UF’s position as a preeminent institution.
