Merit increases and increase in minimum wage effective as of Jan. 1

In December, the University of Florida Board Of Trustees approved collective bargaining agreements that cleared the way for the implementation of salary increases effective Jan. 1, 2018.

Merit increases awarded to faculty and staff by their respective college or administrative units now appear in the myUFL system. Additionally, graduate assistants who were eligible for a salary increases based on the terms of the collective bargaining agreement have been awarded these increases, also now in the myUFL system.

In addition to the salary increases awarded by UF, student assistants and OPS employees earning less than $8.25 per hour were given a salary increase that raised their hourly rate to the new Florida minimum wage of $8.25 per hour effective Jan. 1, 2018.

All increases will be reflected in employee paychecks issued on Jan. 19, 2018.

While no action is necessary by departments, raise files are available for review by department human resource administrators. Each employee population has a corresponding raise type designation. For faculty, enter F18. For staff, enter S18. For graduate assistants, enter G18. For minimum wage increases, enter MHO.
