What makes you successful at work?

Photo of hand writing the words 'career success'What are the knowledge, skills and behavior that make you successful in your job? Beginning this spring, UF Human Resources will be asking TEAMS employees throughout UF questions like this in an effort to begin to build enhanced training, develop career maps and provide other tools to help our university’s staff grow and flourish in their careers.

Building on the foundation provided by the UF On Target project, UFHR is undertaking a new “Success at Work” initiative to begin to identify the top 10 to 15 skills that make our employees successful in their current roles. As a first step, over the course of the next several months, employees within each TEAMS job family will be asked to complete a five-minute, anonymous survey about their current jobs. Your answers will help UFHR identify the key competencies necessary for success in each job title and gather information that will help us all grow together.

The first group of employees to be surveyed later this month will include approximately 900 administrative specialists and administrative support assistants.  Please be assured that this is not a phishing attempt and no personal information will be asked of you.

Watch for further details in the weeks to come.  In the meantime, if you have questions or concerns about the survey, please contact UF’s Classification and Compensation office at (352) 392-2HRS.
