People First portal upgrade complete, IE users advised to upgrade to IE11 or Edge

The State of Florida’s new and improved People First system went live on March 26. To ensure you are accessing the upgraded system, be sure to restart your computer if you haven’t already. (Windows-based computers must be rebooted in order for Microsoft updates to be applied; these updates allow the new People First system to function properly.) You will also need to re-add any favorites in the new system.

Since the People First portal was upgraded, some employees have experienced issues accessing People First using Internet Explorer (IE), specifically to reset their passwords. Most are still using an old version of IE (e.g., 8, 9 or 10). Employees are encouraged to upgrade to a modern browser, such as IE 11 or the newest version of IE called Edge, to resolve these issues and to stay cybersafe in general.

Firefox, Chrome, Edge, Safari and IE 11 browsers all work with the new system; however, there have been a few cases in which the Edge browser does not open on a system if the Startup Repair function for Windows 10 has been used. The simplest workaround is to use one of the other supported browsers.
