Verify your benefits deductions for 2018

Whether or not you made changes during Open Enrollment, the New Year is a good time to review your paycheck to ensure your coverage selections are accurate. If you made any changes to the certain plans during Open Enrollment, they will be reflected beginning with your Jan. 5 paycheck.


COO Electric Vehicle Challenge incentive begins Feb. 1

Last October, UF Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Charlie Lane announced an incentive program beginning Feb. 1 to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles over traditional gas-powered vehicles. The incentive supports UF’s goal of having 10 percent of its vehicle fleet be composed of electric vehicles within 10 years.


Reminder: Lactation rooms available across campus

In an effort to better accommodate nursing mothers at UF, the university added three lactation rooms to campus last year. The lactation rooms, which are open to all UF students, faculty and staff, are a partnership between UF Human Resources, the Office of Academic Affairs, the Office of Business Affairs and various colleges and units around campus.

Gator Business Administrator Services (GBAS) fall institute focused on civility, inclusion

“Respect Works Here” was the theme for the most recent Gator Business Administrator Services (GBAS) Institute, held at Emerson Alumni Hall in November. The event was kicked off by UFHR Vice President Jodi Gentry, who spoke about the importance of developing skills to facilitate and promote civil conversations in the workplace.
