Now in its 35th year, the Florida Government Productivity Awards — formerly TaxWatch Productivity Awards — honor state employees for their innovative and cost-saving accomplishments as well as the measurable contributions, increased productivity and added value of individuals and teams.


Superior Accomplishment Award nominations due Nov. 12

Do you know someone who has gone above and beyond? Nominate them for a Superior Accomplishment Award! Now in its 35th year, the award recognizes faculty and staff who have contributed outstanding service in their fields during the academic year of Aug. 1, 2022, to July 31, 2023. The nomination period is underway and runs through Nov. 12.

This year, we are pleased to announce enhancements to the program, including the introduction of three new award types. Recognition by one’s peers is the highest level of achievement and, thus, the success and impact of this program depends on our participation.

2023 Superior Accomplishment Awards recognize outstanding and meritorious service

Sixteen staff and faculty members representing a wide range of experience and hailing from UF locations throughout the state of Florida were recognized for their outstanding service in a ceremony held this morning at the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom. 

Hosted by UF President Ben Sasse, Ph.D., UFHR Interim Vice President Melissa Curry and UFHR Interim Assistant Vice President Bob Parks, Ph.D., the 2023 Superior Accomplishment Awards recognized faculty and staff who have contributed outstanding and meritorious service, efficiency and/or economy, or to the quality of life for students and employees.

New awards to recognize mindfulness research and study

The UF Mindfulness team invites submissions for Best Paper Awards in Mindfulness in two categories: mindfulness research and conceptual and experiential mindfulness.
