Gainesville certified as an official “bee city”
Recently, the City of Gainesville was certified as an official Bee City USA®, joining cities and campuses throughout the country united to improve landscapes for pollinators.
Ring in the New Year with local fireworks
Sparks in the Park is back for another year at Depot Park to celebrate New Year’s Eve. The free event is open to the public and starts at 5 p.m. with a 20-minute fireworks show over the main pond starting at 6:30 p.m.
Following the fireworks show, head over to Bo Diddley Plaza for the Downtown Countdown from 9:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. to enjoy live music and entertainment.
