Leave reporting and essential personnel considerations in anticipation of UF closure
As announced yesterday, due to Tropical Storm Nicole and out of an abundance of caution, the university campus in Gainesville will close Nov. 10, and other UF areas throughout the state will have had similar closings in keeping with their county government guidelines. The university expects to resume holiday campus operations on Friday, Nov. 11. However, the university will remain closed for business and classes on Friday in honor of Veterans Day. Clinical personnel and all UF Health staff in Gainesville should follow their prescribed procedures.
Leave cash-out opportunity through Nov. 9
Each year, UF TEAMS employees are eligible to cash out up to 16 hours of vacation leave before the holiday season, provided a minimum of 40 hours remains on balance.

Have you made your benefits elections for 2023? The UFHR Benefits and Wellness Fair takes place today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Champions Club in the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium. With more than 50 state and UF vendors present at the fair, faculty and staff can stop by to get the information they need to make their benefits elections.
HEO scholarship applications due Nov. 1
UF’s Higher Education Opportunity, scholarship provides children of full-time TEAMS employees with tuition assistance for an undergraduate education at UF.
