Some leave reporting and essential personnel considerations in anticipation of UF closure

As announced earlier today, due to Hurricane Ian, the university campus in Gainesville will close Sept. 28, and other UF areas throughout the state will have had similar closings in keeping with their county government guidelines. It is expected university facilities statewide will reopen on Saturday, Oct. 1. Clinical personnel and all UF Health staff in Gainesville should follow their prescribed procedures.

The University of Florida is actively monitoring Hurricane Ian. Keep abreast of on-campus emergency updates with UF Alert and monitor the Severe Weather Updates website for any operational updates. You can also familiarize yourself with other university emergency resources here.


UF centers receive more than $5 million in DOE grants
