Strategies to help foster trust, acceptance and demand

Earlier this week, UF Center for Public Interest Communications Director Ann Searight Christiano and Postdoctoral Fellow Jack Barry, pictured in top row at right, were joined by scholars at other national and international universities for a discussion hosted as part of Reddit’s AskScience AMA Series. The team of experts in psychology, behavioral science, public health and communications provided a glimpse behind the scenes of building vaccine confidence, vaccine hesitancy and the communications work that goes into addressing it. Their answers were informed by a guide the team built on COVID-19 vaccine communications on behalf of Purpose and the United Nations Verified initiative, built upon their years of experience in their fields.
