Improved system for acquiring employment references coming June 6
Effective June 6, hiring departments can take advantage of a new tool within Careers at UF — Reference Collections. Rather than requiring applicants to upload references during the application process, the new system will enable hiring departments to directly request references from reference providers without making a single phone call. Feedback providers will submit their feedback directly into the Careers at UF system.
The new system will enhance the reference collection process in a number of ways. With Reference Collections, the applicant is no longer involved in the collection of references, allowing for more candid feedback. In addition, hiring departments can monitor their reference requests and view submitted references, combining them with other application materials, all within Careers at UF.
Additional information and instructions will be available in the Careers at UF toolkit, http://hr.ufl.edu/learn-grow/just-in-time-training/myufl-toolkits/careers-at-uf/, on June 6.
