Attend 2020 Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education for free beginning today

The UF Office of Sustainability recently announced that current UF students, faculty and staff may attend the 2020 Global Conference on Sustainability in Higher Education (GCSHE) online for free. Because UF is a “Host Institution,” UF attendees will have access to the full three days of live content and networking Oct. 20-22 as well as 30 days of on-demand access, meaning even if you cannot attend next week, you can still register.

With the theme of “Mobilizing for a Just Transition,” much of the conference focuses on centering justice in sustainability efforts to transform current systems, ensuring marginalized communities are not left behind. Some of the keynote speakers include Robin Wall Kimmerer, founder of the SUNY Center for Native Peoples and the Environment; Ibram X. Kendi, author of How to Be an Anti-Racist; and Wanjiku “Wawa” Gatheru, Environmental Justice Advocate.
