Call for Nominations for University Awards

Due: Friday, March 1

One of the traditional components of UF commencement ceremonies is honoring individuals who have been selected to receive university-designated awards. These awards include the honorary degree, the distinguished alumna/alumnus award, the distinguished achievement award and the distinguished service award. UF counts on you and your colleagues to identify and nominate individuals who, through their accomplishments and service, are deserving of the university’s highest honors.

Nominations submitted by the March 1 deadline will be considered at the March 2019 meeting of the university’s Honorary Degrees and Distinguished Awards Committee. Given the review process and scheduling the honoree’s visit to campus, the committee encourages you to submit nominations as early in the academic year prior to when you would like the honoree to receive his/her award.

If you have any questions about the process, please contact Stephanie McBride at stephmcbride@aa.ufl.edu. To learn more about submitting a nomination, visit: http://fora.aa.ufl.edu/FacultySenate/Committees/Honorary-Degrees-and-Distinguished-Awards-Committee
