Don’t miss important updates — review your contact information

If you’ve recently experienced a change that affects your emergency contacts, make sure to update your information in the one.uf system. Keeping your details current ensures you’ll receive important updates related to your health and well-being and helps prevent complications in the event of a crisis.

The UF Alert system relies on information in the directory to send emergency notifications to students and employees. In addition, UFHR and People First (State of Florida) regularly send important benefits- and work-related information to employees.

  • Verify your information is correct, making any changes as needed and ensuring all addresses, especially the mailing address, email and emergency contact information, are up to date. Updates you make in one.uf are automatically shared with People First.

Updating Beneficiaries

As unpleasant as it is to think about something going wrong, it’s vital that your life insurance and retirement plan beneficiaries are up to date as well.

  • Beneficiary information for UFSelect life plans may be viewed or changed in myUFL by navigating to Main Menu > My Self Service > Benefits > Benefits Summary. If you are enrolled in any of the UFSelect life insurance plans, click on the link next to the corresponding coverage to view and/or update your beneficiary designations. If you have questions about updating beneficiaries on UFSelect life plans, contact UFHR Benefits by email at benefits@ufl.edu or by phone at (352) 392-2477.
  • For FRS Investment Plan or Pension Plan members, beneficiaries can be updated through MyFRS.
  • For SUSORP, Fidelity 403(b) and State of Florida Deferred Compensation 457 members, beneficiaries can be updated on the Investment Provider website (i.e. TIAA, Voya, Corebridge, Fidelity, etc.).
