UF Engaged “Performance Notes” coming July 15

UF leaders and TEAMS employees will soon have access to a new online tool to support better tracking of achievements, goals and other performance-related information. “Performance Notes,” a new module in the myUFL system available beginning July 15, is designed to support the UF Engaged initiative by providing improved tracking of performance to help facilitate more regular, meaningful conversations between leaders and their teams.

“This new platform will provide support to leaders as they begin to prepare for Quarterly Check-ins with their TEAMS employees, while benefiting TEAMS employees who wish to track their own achievements,” said Brook Mercier, director of Employee Relations. “We’re excited to provide this new functionality to the university as we prepare for the first round of Quarterly Check-ins beginning in October.”

UF Engaged takes a new approach to TEAMS staff appraisals, encouraging regular feedback rather than a once-a-year evaluation. If you haven’t already done so, you can view a video here to learn more.

Information in Performance Notes will only be viewable to the person entering the information as a personal tracking system. Benefits include providing employees with more autonomy as well as the ability to track activities and behaviors as they occur in order to provide more timely feedback.

Leaders and TEAMS employees are encouraged to keep an eye on their email next week for more information about how to access and use Performance Notes when the module becomes available.
