As the University of Florida seeks its place among the top public universities in the nation, UF Human Resources is committed to offering benefits programs that are competitive, valuable and meet the needs of our university community.

This spring, UFHR is exploring opportunities to modernize what paid time off looks like for faculty and staff at UF — and we want to hear from you.

UF provides a variety of leave programs based on an employee’s salary plan, including vacation, sick leave, holidays, personal leave days and family medical leave. The scope of this project’s focus is on vacation and sick leave, parental/medical leave and FMLA.

As with our salary compensation plans, leave plans for employees in a bargaining unit are subject to union negotiation, and we will work with the unions to reach agreement for covered employees prior to implementing any new plan.
