Aetna, HCA Florida hospital negotiations are ongoing

As we shared in UF at Work last month, Aetna is in ongoing contract negotiations with HCA Florida. If an agreement cannot be reached, 49 hospitals, including North Florida Regional Medical Center, will no longer be part of the Aetna provider network as of Sept. 6, 2019. (The original termination date of Sept. 1 was postponed due to the hurricane.)

UFHR will share additional details as soon as negotiations have concluded and a decision is reached.

Participants receiving care or planning to receive care at HCA facilities should contact their medical provider immediately to discuss this potential change. To locate Aetna network providers, members may use the Provider Search on the Aetna website. Aetna’s Member Services representatives are also available Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Members may call 877-858-6507 for assistance locating alternate in-network facilities or with questions regarding plan benefits and coverage.
