Champions for Change Award nominations due March 1

Do you know someone who has made an impact in the areas of sustainability or health and wellbeing at UF? Nominate them for a 2019 Champions for Change Award.

A partnership program between the Office of Sustainability and the Healthy Gators Coalition, the annual Champions for Change Awards recognize individuals and groups in the UF community who have made significant contributions in the areas of sustainability or health and wellness during their time at UF.

Nomination categories

  • Sustainability: Can encompass efforts made in the areas of waste reduction, water/energy conservation, social equity, outreach/engagement, academics, green teams, etc.
  • Health and wellbeing: Can include efforts made in the areas of physical, social, spiritual or emotional wellbeing

Nominations are judged based upon the uniqueness of the achievement, the level of effort required, the commitment to sustaining the achievement, and the significance for personal growth or the impact of the achievement on the UF community. Self-nominations are also accepted and encouraged.

Winners will be recognized as part of UF’s Campus Earth Week Celebration on Wednesday, April 3.
