Creating Healthy Communities: Arts + Public Health Florida conference recordings now available
On Sept. 23 and 24, in partnership with United Arts of Central Florida, ArtPlace America and the State of Florida Division of Cultural Affairs, the University of Florida Center for Arts in Medicine hosted the Creating Healthy Communities: Arts + Public Health Florida conference in Orlando.
With the overarching goal of creating stronger and healthier communities through the arts, the conference was intended to connect people working and thinking at the intersections of the arts, public health and community development. The event was part of Creating Healthy Communities: Arts + Public Health in America, a national initiative designed to accelerate collaboration among the arts, public health and community development sectors.
The two-day conference highlighted Florida’s leadership and innovation in building healthy communities through the arts and featured effective program and practice models from throughout the United States, current research and issues that affect the health and wellbeing of communities.
