New People First System to launch on March 26

On Monday, March 26, the Florida Department of Management Services (DMS) will launch a new People First system featuring a modernized look and enhanced functionality. Most UF employees access the State of Florida’s benefits People First system when making insurance benefit choices and changes—especially during the Open Enrollment period each fall—as well as to file and track benefits reimbursement accounts.

The new system will continue to provide the same functions as the current system but with significant enhancements, including login ID lookup and password reset capability that uses the latest in password security technology. The new system will also be compatible with modern web browsers, including the latest versions of Firefox, Chrome, Edge (formerly Explorer) and Safari browsers.

DMS has provided a short People First upgrade introductory video that summarizes how the system is being improved.

The People First system will be unavailable from 5 p.m. EST on Friday, March 16, until 8 a.m. EST on Monday, March 26 in order to implement the new system. Throughout the transition, the People First Service Center will be available during its normal hours of Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST, at 866-663-4735.
