Smartphone app empowers citizens to help in cases of cardiac emergency

Help improve survival rate from cardiac arrest in Gainesville and Alachua County

UF Health officials, Alachua County and city of Gainesville emergency first responders recently announced the launch of a smartphone app called “PulsePoint” that alerts citizens to nearby cardiac emergencies and empowers them to help by providing CPR before first responders can get to the scene.
