The new recognition program will celebrate staff in five-year increments based on continuous service.

UF Human Resources is pleased to announce a new and expanded Service Recognition Program to recognize and honor staff for their years of service.

UF will continue to recognize TEAMS and USPS employees for five-year increments of continuous service, based on their most recent date of hire. Under the new program, beginning in January 2019, the university will expand the options for gifts.

Additionally, employees being recognized for 25 and 30 years of service during the 2018 calendar year will be honored at an evening event hosted by the President’s Office later this spring.

“I’m delighted we are enhancing the ways we acknowledge the many vital contributions of our UF staff,” said President Kent Fuchs. “Their loyalty and their hard work are deeply valued, and it’s a privilege to begin a new tradition for recognizing their years of service on behalf of UF and our university community.”

Recipients will receive an email from the UF Bookstore inviting them to select an anniversary gift during their anniversary month. Recipients have the option to pick up their gift in person at the UF Bookstore or have it shipped to an address of their choice at no charge.

UFHR will continue to work with department coordinators to provide information about employees who are reaching service milestones each year and to provide other guidance about the new program, including hosting an information session for the coordinators this February. Those who have questions in the meantime are encouraged to contact Verlissa Ford in UF Training & Organizational Development at (352) 392-4626 or v.ford@ufl.edu.

“We’re pleased to partner with the UF Bookstore to provide our staff with this selection of gifts to commemorate the time they have spent working at UF,” said Jodi Gentry, vice president for Human Resources. “We hope our staff enjoy this newly reimagined program, which is designed to convey our deepest thanks.”
