UF’s Meat Processing Center is a federal USDA-inspected meat processing facility with a mission to facilitate teaching, extension and research programs for the UF/IFAS Animal Sciences Department. Meat scientists at UF have expertise in muscle biology, fresh meat quality, meat processing, food safety and meat microbiology.
