GatorSavers: $5 CPR and Blood Drive

Saturday, Feb. 16, at 9:30 a.m., noon or 2:30 p.m.
J. Wayne Reitz Union Grand Ballroom
686 Museum Road
Gainesville, FL 32611

According to the American Heart Association, approximately nine in 10 people who have cardiac arrest outside of a hospital will not survive. However, if CPR is performed in the first few minutes of cardiac arrest, it can double or triple a person’s chance of survival.

Come celebrate February Heart Health Month by learning about CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use. All event proceeds will be used to install AEDs in the Greater Gainesville community. Participants will be required to pay a $5 fee at registration. Last year’s AED recipients included Girl’s Place, The One Room Schoolhouse and Baby Gator Child Development and Research Center.

Join the GatorSavers at the Reitz Union Grand Ballroom on Feb. 16 at one of three start times: 9:30 a.m., noon or 2:30 p.m.
