Student mental health is a major concern for our campus and faculty are often the first to notice when a student may be struggling. This workshop is designed to support you as you support UF’s students. The workshop will walk through current trends in mental health, signs of distress, ways to support students, how to refer to relevant resources and how to care for yourself in the process.
Sept. 24, 4–5:30 p.m., and Nov. 5, 4–5:30 p.m.
Presenter Amanda Lawson-Ross is a clinical assistant professor in the Counseling Psychology program at the University of Florida and previously worked at the UF Counseling and Wellness Center. She has devoted her career to supporting mental health prevention and treatment for university students and the campus community through clinical work and outreach.
Participants should complete the Kognito training prior to the start of the workshop.
Please email Lawson-Ross at firstname.lastname@example.org to register.
This event is co-sponsored by the Department of Psychology and the Counseling and Wellness Center.
