UF Research provides Dimensions and Altmetric databases free to UF community

Earlier today, UF Vice President of Research David P. Norton, Ph.D., announced UF Research has made subscriptions to Digital Science’s Dimensions and Altmetric databases available for free to UF faculty, students, clinical researchers and staff through GatorLink authentication.

Dimensions is a comprehensive research information platform that provides access to millions of publications, datasets, patents and policy documents. A companion subscription to Altmetric is embedded in Dimensions search results. Altmetric tracks where research is being mentioned in online articles, documents and social media.

“UF Research has made deliberate investments in the essential infrastructure required for its research enterprise to excel in generating innovative fundamental knowledge,” said Norton. “I encourage our faculty, staff and students to explore these powerful new resources to see how they can benefit their research endeavors.”

Visit the UF Research website to learn more about these new resources and find a list of scheduled training sessions. Questions can be directed to training@research.ufl.edu.
