Weight management study featuring healthy lifestyle program now available in rural counties in North Florida
Looking for a way to lose weight and get healthier? A new weight management program is now available at UF’s Bradford, Columbia, Putnam, Flagler, Hamilton and Madison Extension Offices. The no-cost healthy lifestyle program, funded by the National Institutes of Health, aims to help participants lose weight, increase fitness, improve nutrition and manage stress. A 17-week session of Weight Watchers at Work is scheduled to begin Thursday, May 19. The meetings will be held Thursdays from noon to 12:45 p.m. in the Wellman Classroom 271, Yon Hall (east side of the stadium).
On Thursday, Jan. 7, a Weight Watchers informational meeting will be held in Wellman Classroom #271, Yon Hall (on the east side of Ben Hill Griffin Stadium) at noon. If at least 20 employees sign up, the 17-week program will begin on Thursday, Jan. 14, and will be held weekly thereafter from noon to 1 p.m. at Yon Hall.
