Froman named assistant vice president for ADA and Title IX compliance

Russell Froman of the Office of the Chief Operating Officer has been named assistant vice president for the Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance and Title IX compliance at UF.

Froman brings to the position 22 years of experience working in university settings, including as an administrator at UF’s P.K. Yonge Developmental Research School, associate dean at Mars Hill University, assistant director of Student Activities at UF and, most recently, as UF’s Title IX coordinator.

In this new role, Froman will be responsible for monitoring, supervising and overseeing all compliance with the ADA and Title IX for the university, including all UF direct support organizations and affiliates. He will coordinate all campus-based programs related to the ADA and Title IX for the university as well.

Originally from Seminole, Fla., Froman holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Auburn University, a master’s degree in Educational Psychology and Counseling from Florida State University, an EdD in Higher Education Administration from UF and a JD from Stetson University.
