Weekend volunteers still needed to assist with UF commencement

Earlier this month, President Fuchs reached out to UF faculty and staff, asking them to volunteer in one or more of the Spring 2021 commencement ceremonies. While many have stepped up and volunteered to assist, opportunities are still available to serve in the roles of marshals, a 4.5-hour time commitment, and check-In assistants, a 2.5-hour time commitment, for the following dates and times:

  • Saturday, May 1, at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 2, at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Friday, May 7, at 7 p.m.
  • Saturday, May 8, at 9 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, May 9, at 9 a.m. and 2 p.m.

A description of these roles can be found on the UF Commencement website. Faculty and staff interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Director of Commencements Steph McBride at stephmcbride@aa.ufl.edu with their desired date(s), time(s) and position.
