UF Herbarium celebrates barcode milestone

The UF Herbarium recently marked a major milestone with the accession of its 300,000th vascular plant specimen. The honored specimen — Serenoa repens, commonly known as saw palmetto — reflects the herbarium’s role of documenting plant diversity in support of research and conservation efforts throughout Florida and beyond.
