The Florida Museum of Natural History is celebrating renowned naturalist Alexander von Humboldt’s 250th birthday Oct. 6, 7–9 p.m., at the Curtis M. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts. This free event features a special performance by the Gainesville Master Chorale and a talk by best-selling author Andrea Wulf followed by Q&A and book signing.
