Alachua County Public Schools offers free meals to county kids
During the summer months, any child 18 years old and younger can receive a free breakfast and lunch at one of 61 locations through the Free Summer Meals program. A new “Mobile Meal” pilot program also visits three neighborhoods, including Hidden Oaks, Tower Oaks and Linton Oaks Apartments.
Students DO NOT have to be enrolled at the location to participate, and the program is open to any child regardless of family income.
For more details on free meal sites and serving dates and times, please call (352) 955-7539 or visit the district’s food service website at www.acpsfood.com and click on the Summer Meal Program link. You can also download the Nutrislice mobile app to view menus and find the nearest location.
