UF Health to host free community health and wellness expo May 10
On Tuesday, May 10, UF Health will host a Community Health and Wellness Expo. The Expo will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Hilton UF Conference Center, 1714 SW 34th St., in Gainesville. Participants can learn more about:
- Complementary medicine
- Stress reduction techniques
- Tips to healthier eating
- Cancer screening guidelines
- Women’s health
- Reducing your stroke risk
- Tips to getting better sleep
- Incorporating exercise
- Resources for the aging population
Free screenings will include:
- Cholesterol and glucose
- Blood pressure and oxygen saturation
- Bone density
- Heart rhythm
- Body fat and weight
Each person attending will receive a free goodie bag, and refreshments will be provided. The event will also feature a giant inflatable colon which participants can explore.
