UF Health to host free community health and wellness expo May 10

uf_health to hose wellnessOn Tuesday, May 10, UF Health will host a Community Health and Wellness Expo. The Expo will be held from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Hilton UF Conference Center, 1714 SW 34th St., in Gainesville. Participants can learn more about:

  • Complementary medicine
  • Stress reduction techniques
  • Tips to healthier eating
  • Cancer screening guidelines
  • Women’s health
  • Reducing your stroke risk
  • Tips to getting better sleep
  • Incorporating exercise
  • Resources for the aging population

Free screenings will include:

  • Cholesterol and glucose
  • Blood pressure and oxygen saturation
  • Bone density
  • Heart rhythm
  • Body fat and weight

Each person attending will receive a free goodie bag, and refreshments will be provided. The event will also feature a giant inflatable colon which participants can explore.
