How will you be spending your summer? Share your photos for chances to win a prize

Summer break is just around the corner, bringing with it opportunities to explore, recharge and reconnect with loved ones. Whether you are “staycationing” close to home or embarking on a journey across the world, we invite you to share your favorite summer photographs by entering our UF at Play Summer Photo Contest for a chance to win one of several UF giveaways. At the end of each month, our judges will review all submissions and pick two winners.

Prizes

A big thank you to our friends across campus who have generously donated contest prizes.

Submission rules and guidelines

The contest is open to University of Florida faculty and non-student employees only. Please only submit photos that you have personally taken. Entries will be accepted from Monday, May 1, through Friday, Aug. 18, at 5 p.m. Employees may submit four photos per entry, per month, but no more than one giveaway will be awarded per employee. All entries must be submitted using the submission form below.

The entrant accepts all responsibility for the content provided and has the rights to share the photo(s). If a person or people are pictured in the photo, the entrant is the person pictured and/or has the permission of those pictured to share this photo publicly. By submitting, the entrant gives permission for the photo to be shared on the UF at Work website as well as on UF at Work’s social media accounts at UF at Work’s sole discretion.

Judging criteria

The judges will look at technical quality, composition, impact — is the image eye-catching — and whether your photo meets the theme of “summer vacation.” Your image may capture either an activity you are doing or a place you visited during the summer.

Below are examples of previous submissions that meet our judging criteria. Click on each image to view the full submission.

All photo(s) must be submitted using the below form:
