Show yourself a little self-love

In the hustle of daily life, it can be easy to put your own well-being on the back burner. But self-love isn’t a luxury—it’s a foundational practice that strengthens your resilience and helps you put your best foot forward both at work and at home. To help you get started, explore UF resources for faculty and staff.

Emotional wellness

Build emotional resilience. The Resilience & Emotional Well-Being Toolkit includes practical tip cards and resources to help with emotional regulation, stress management, self-care practices and coping strategies for anxiety and life’s challenges.

Recognize early signs of stress and fatigue. Burnout can make it difficult to practice self-love. The Preventing Workplace Burnout program offers tools and strategies to help you identify early warning signs and develop habits that support long-term engagement and energy.

Attend a free retreat. Coming up Feb. 13-15, SKY Happiness Retreat is a comprehensive wellness program where you will be trained in evidence-based SKY meditation, breathwork, yoga, social connection and mindful leadership. Apply Now.

Explore on-demand mindfulness. UF offers guided meditation sessions led by experts, as well as broader mindfulness resources to help you pause, reflect and find calm amid a hectic schedule. Practicing mindfulness can improve focus, reduce stress and reinforce awareness of your own needs.

Take 10 for your well-being. Even a few minutes of intentional self-reflection, deep breathing or gentle stretching can help you reset during a demanding day. The Take 10 initiative encourages you to carve out small but meaningful moments for wellness.

Physical Wellness

Make healthy habits part of your routine. The Healthy Lifestyle Program offers guidance and tools that support movement, nutrition and overall well-being in ways that fit into your everyday life.

Move your body to boost your mood. Faculty and staff fitness classes are hosted throughout the week and can help you stay active, reduce stress and build strength alongside your fellow Gators. In-person, virtual and on-demand options are available at no cost.

Take a walk with purpose. GatorsGo Walking Maps highlight scenic routes across campus, making it easy to fit in a refreshing break, clear your mind and get your steps in between meetings.

Fuel yourself for success. GatorCare’s nutrition resources provide practical tips, articles and tools to help you make informed choices that support your energy and long-term health.
