President Fuchs announces salary increase pool for faculty and staff merit increases

On July 12, UF President Kent Fuchs announced a salary increase pool of 3 percent for University of Florida faculty and staff to provide merit increases during the coming academic year. In his announcement, Fuchs noted that the pool represents a continuation of the university’s ongoing effort to provide competitive compensation aimed at helping UF not only recruit but also retain talented faculty and staff as well as reward performance.

The salary increase pool, designated for employees on payroll as of June 30, 2017, will provide individual increases ranging from zero to more than 3 percent depending on criteria established by colleges and units. Any raises awarded will be effective Jan. 1, 2018, with salary increases for employees in bargaining units subject to union negotiations.

UF Human Resources will provide additional details regarding eligibility criteria and the process for implementing the salary increases in the months to come both via email as well as in future issues of UF at Work.
