Field & Fork Food Drive Competition kicks off this month

Help a fellow Gator by donating non-perishable proteins and grains or other food and toiletries to the Alan & Cathy Hitchcock Pantry during the month of October. Departments can compete by collecting the most food and funds. The winning department will receive a delivery of party snacks to celebrate their efforts.

UF’s annual Sustainable Transportation Fair will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. on the northeast corner of the Reitz Union lawn, behind the Hub and Marston Science Library. Nomination deadlines for Superior Accomplishment, Prudential Productivity Awards approaching

Faculty and staff have until Oct. 31 to nominate someone for a University of Florida Superior Accomplishment Award, while nominations for the statewide Prudential Productivity Awards are due Nov. 10.


Higher Education Opportunity scholarship application deadline is Nov. 1

The University of Florida’s Higher Education Opportunity (HEO) provides children of full-time TEAMS employees with the opportunity of tuition assistance for an undergraduate education at the University of Florida.


Did you participate in the Employee Education Program during 2017?

Per IRS regulations, only the first $5,250 of the tuition waiver provided by the Employee Education Program benefit is non-taxable.  Any amount in excess of $5,250 is taxable income to the employee and must be taxed and included on the employee’s W-2 for the year.


New outdoor fitness adventure class begins Oct. 11

UF faculty and staff are invited to meet at the north end zone inside the Ben Hill Griffin Stadium beginning Oct. 11 at 5:30 p.m. for an outdoor fitness adventure class. The class will be piloted for four weeks in October with a regular schedule to be announced in 2018.
