Additional PPE and supplies for the spring semester

Prior to the start of the fall semester, colleges and units throughout the university were provided with a supply of masks, sanitizer and other items to support a safer return to the workplace for faculty, staff and students. To date, more than 1 million masks and thousands of sanitizers, disinfectant sprays and wipes have been distributed to the UF community.

As we work together to prepare for the spring semester, you are encouraged to continue to coordinate with your college or unit to ensure you have the supplies you need. In addition to the PPE already supplied, the university has acquired UF-branded cloth masks for all employees and has a large amount of hand sanitizer and disinfectant spray that will continue to be distributed as needed to each college and unit. After course details are finalized, additional N95 masks will also be provided to those who may need them for use in face-to-face settings.

If you have questions or are in need of supplies, you are encouraged to work with your area’s HR liaison to make a request. Because central supplies are limited, specific quantities have been allocated for each area.

If you would like to purchase additional supplies to supplement those that have been centrally provided, you may work with your department’s fiscal team to order them through myUFMarketplace. A list of supplies departments may wish to order, along with the Marketplace suppliers who carry the items, is available on the UF Procurement website.
