Events & Celebrations
Bikers on Parade 2025 | Nov. 8 at 10:30 a.m
Bikers on Parade raises funds to provide critical support to veterans and 1st responders in Florida, especially when other systems fall short. The parade is free to watch; there is a fee to ride.
Evergreen Cemetery Flag Placing | Nov. 8 at 9 a.m.
Help place a flag on each of the 1,100 graves of veterans interred at Evergreen Cemetery. This meaningful tribute is open to all, with no participation fee.
Family Fishing Day: Veterans Day BBQ | Nov. 8 at 8 a.m.
All activities are catch-and-release. Fishing gear and bait will be provided, or participants can bring their own. Volunteers will be on hand to assist novice anglers.
4th Annual Give Thanks Weekend Festival | Nov. 8 at 10 a.m.
This special event pays tribute to our veterans and features an impressive showcase of classic vehicles, food trucks, arts and crafts vendors and live music.
Gainesville Community Band Veterans Day Concert | Nov. 9 at 4 p.m.
Come celebrate Veterans Day with the Gainesville Community Band, or GCB, playing songs in tribute to our veterans and to James King, a late GCB member who previously enlisted in the army and performed on troop ships crossing the Atlantic during World War II.
Alachua County Annual Veterans Day Celebration | Nov. 11 at 9 a.m.
A free event by the Veteran Memorial Committee and Alachua County Veteran Services.
High Springs Museum Veterans Day Service | Nov. 11 at 9 a.m.
A traditional Veterans Day service, featuring the Santa Fe Brass Quintet, guest speakers and more.
Newberry Veterans Memorial Tribute | Nov. 11 at 9 a.m.
The City of Newberry invites you to its annual Veterans Day Tribute to honor the brave men and women who have served our nation with courage and dedication.
U.S. Air Force Veterans Day Celebration | Nov. 14 at 7 p.m.
The City of Alachua Department of Recreation & Culture invites you to the Legacy Park Amphitheatre for a moving tribute to our U.S. veterans. The United States Air Force Band of the West will deliver a live performance, celebrating the incredible service of all who have worn the uniform.
1000 Voices Veterans Day Celebration Luncheon | Nov. 15 at noon
Local veterans and their families are invited to attend this free luncheon, including recognition and gifts as well as musical performances by local veterans, 1000 Voices of Florida and more.
